It Is Time

When we look around, it’s easy to see dry bones scattered throughout our lives and in the lives of those we love. This world is desperate for hope, yet people keep falling into hopelessness, sin, and despair. But the message today is this: It is time. It’s time to rise up and speak life into those who are lost, to declare God’s promises over dry places, and to call for revival in the hearts of our loved ones.

The Responsibility of a Son or Daughter of God

In Ezekiel 37, God shows the prophet a vision of a valley filled with dry bones. When God asks, "Can these bones live?" Ezekiel answers, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know” (Ezekiel 37:3). That’s the question for each of us today. Are we willing to believe that those who seem farthest gone can be brought back to life in Christ? Are we willing to take on the responsibility, not just as believers, but as sons and daughters of God, to speak life into those around us?

God is calling us to prophesy over the dry bones in our lives. The power of life and death is in our tongues (Proverbs 18:21), and God’s Spirit within us gives us the authority to speak His words over the people He loves. We don’t have to be afraid. The Holy Spirit will guide us, just as He led Ezekiel in that valley.

The Power of Prophecy and Faith

We each carry a calling, and sometimes, that calling requires us to stand firm and prophesy over areas that seem hopeless. God gives us His Spirit to strengthen us, and He places us in the exact position we’re needed most. In a way, He’s like a general assigning us to specific areas, knowing the battles we’ll face. He sees every dry bone and every soul in need of restoration, and He knows we’re equipped to handle it—even when we doubt it ourselves.

Remember, it doesn’t always happen in one moment. Sometimes we speak over situations or people again and again, even if we don’t see an immediate change. Ezekiel prophesied until the bones came together and the Spirit of life filled them. So don’t quit. God never quits on us, so we can’t quit on those He’s called us to reach.

We Must Fight for the Ones We Love

There’s a heavy question we have to face: Are we willing to watch our loved ones perish? When Jesus returns on a white horse with the armies of heaven, Scripture tells us that He will come to judge (Revelation 19:11-14). And who will ride with Him? The saints—the very ones who have walked this path of faith. This is why we’re called not only to care about our own salvation but to fight for the souls of those we love.

This is the weight of our responsibility. Just as Ezekiel was commanded to prophesy, so are we. When we’re in those dry places with the ones we love, we don’t simply stand there—we speak life, we declare God’s promises, we fight for them as sons and daughters of the Most High.

Rising Above Doubt and Shame

I know what it’s like to feel tongue-tied, to be overwhelmed with doubt or even shame. But that’s the enemy’s tactic. God’s Spirit leads us and gives us the words to speak. Shame, fear, doubt—these things have no hold on us anymore. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11), and that power enables us to rise above every barrier.

This is where the resurrection power of Jesus is most evident. He broke the chains of death, sin, and the grave. We can walk in that same power today, trusting that even if the world sees nothing but dry bones, God can make them live again.

Our Assignment

God has given each of us a mission. He’s placed us in positions where we’re needed most, where we’re the only ones who can speak life into those dry places. It might be daunting, but He believes in us. When we look out over the people we’re called to reach, we’re not called to doubt or to give up. We’re called to speak, to act, and to pray until the Spirit of God breathes life back into them.

Let’s Go Boldly

So I’m asking you to join me. Let’s go boldly into those valleys, proclaiming hope, healing, and salvation. Let’s not just be spectators on the sidelines, watching as others step into the fight. Let’s be the leaders God has called us to be. We have His Spirit, His Word, and His authority.

In Jesus’ name, we’re sent to call dry bones to life. Let us go where God leads and declare His truth, knowing He will fight alongside us every step of the way.
