Embracing the Call to a Higher Place
God is always calling us higher. He never intended for us to remain stagnant in our faith, our purpose, or our relationship with Him. He is a God of movement, a God of transformation, a God of glory upon glory. Today, I want to speak about stepping into the next level of glory, because I believe that God is challenging us to go deeper, trust more, and walk boldly into His presence like never before.
Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV): "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." This verse tells us that we are not meant to stay in the same place. There is a process—an elevation—of glory that God wants to bring us into.
Leaving the Comfort Zone
One of the greatest obstacles to stepping into a higher level of glory is comfort. We get used to how things are, and even when we desire more of God, we sometimes hesitate because more requires change. The Israelites struggled with this when they left Egypt. Though they had been delivered from slavery, they longed for what was familiar. They had moments where they said, "It would be better if we went back." But God was calling them forward, to the Promised Land.
Are we doing the same thing? Are we clinging to what is familiar because the unknown seems too difficult? If God is calling us to a deeper level of faith, a stronger level of obedience, or a new season of service, we must be willing to let go of the past and embrace what He has for us.
Preparing for the Next Level
If we are to step into the next level of glory, there are some things we need to do to prepare:
Renew Our Minds – Romans 12:2 (NIV) says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Our thoughts can hold us back. If we keep thinking small, doubting, or believing that we are unworthy, we will never step into the greater things God has for us.
Increase Our Faith – The next level requires a greater trust in God. Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that "without faith it is impossible to please God." If we want to see His power move in our lives, we must believe that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Be Willing to Walk Through Testing – Every level comes with a test. Joseph had to go through the pit before he made it to the palace. David had to face Goliath before he could be king. Jesus had to endure the cross before He was glorified. Are we willing to trust God through the trials that prepare us for the next level?
Seek the Presence of God – Moses said in Exodus 33:15, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." We cannot step into greater glory without the presence of God leading us. More time in prayer, more time in worship, more time seeking His face—that is how we move into deeper places with Him.
Walking Boldly into the Next Season
It is time for us to step forward. No more delay. No more excuses. If God is calling you higher, trust Him. If He is asking you to walk in a greater anointing, say yes. If He is leading you into something new, step out in faith. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23).
This is not a season to shrink back; this is a season to advance. Let us press forward, shake off every weight that holds us back, and step boldly into the next level of glory that God has prepared for us.
Are you ready?
