What You Can't See Right in Front of You - Part 2

Embracing God's Unbreakable Love

Romans 8:35-39: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: ‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

People might think I'm crazy, but I don't care about what others think. My goal is to help you understand the Word of God. The passage above reassures us that nothing can separate us from Christ's love. We face various trials, yet through Him, we are more than conquerors.

Overcoming Fear and Doubt

We often allow people and circumstances to instill fear and doubt within us. However, the truth is, no height, no demon, no one can separate us from Christ's love—except ourselves. We shouldn't fear others but respect the challenges we face, knowing God is with us.

Personal Anecdote: I can't swim, but I respect water. I've done crazy things like skiing at 100 mph and jumping off a 30-foot diving board. Fear didn't stop me; I stopped myself. We must protect ourselves and trust in God's love.

Keeping Our Eyes on the Road

Just like driving a car, where we must keep our eyes on the road to avoid accidents, we must focus on Christ. Distractions can lead us astray, but staying focused on Him ensures our safety. Many times, we don't like being told what to do, but learning to navigate life with God's guidance is crucial.

Battling Spiritual Warfare

We are constantly in a spiritual battle. The devil has snipers aiming to take us out, but God has given us His armor to protect us. Just like wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle, we must arm ourselves with God's Word to face the enemy.

Ephesians 6:11: “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

Recognizing False Influences

Be wary of false influences that seem godly but lead us away from Christ. These can come from unexpected sources—friends, teachers, or even those who appear religious. We must discern and stay true to God's Word.

Embracing Our Imperfections

I struggle with spelling, but that doesn't stop me from sharing God's Word. We all have weaknesses, but God's strength shines through our imperfections. I make mistakes, but my love for God is unwavering, and He always helps me, even when I'm wrong.

Consequences of Disobedience

Deuteronomy 28:15: “However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you.”

Obedience to God brings blessings, while disobedience leads to consequences. Just like touching a hot stove results in burns, going against God's commandments brings difficulties. God isn't punishing us; we're experiencing the natural consequences of our actions.

Blessings of Obedience

Deuteronomy 28:1-6: “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.”

God promises blessings for obedience. Our lives will be fruitful and prosperous if we follow His commandments. We have the power to choose blessings by living according to His Word.

Conclusion: Living a Blessed Life

We control whether we live in blessing or curse. Our words and actions have power. Let us embrace God's love, obey His Word, and live lives filled with His blessings. Remember, no one can separate us from the love of Christ, and with Him, we are more than conquerors.

Matthew 18:18: “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Let's bind ourselves to God's blessings and live in the fullness of His love and grace.
